Hi! I'm Chloe.
I'm so glad you're here.

If you've ever felt let down by maternity services, or felt unheard and uncertain at any point in your maternity experience...you're not alone.

Why? It's an unfortunate truth that the NHS is being stretched further and further, and increasingly rushed appointments and inconsistent advice are leaving women and birthing people vulnerable and scared.

I lived this in my own birth experiences a decade ago, and I still see it today in my clinical practice so I started Blossom and Root Midwifery for people just like us.  The kind who crave empathetic, holistic care rooted in evidence whilst honouring autonomy and intuition.

I'm a midwife that values the importance of time. Choosing to work with me means gone are the days of being rushed out of the clinic door and fighting to be heard - my advice and support is at the end of your fingertips whenever you need, and building a deep connection that keeps you at the centre of your care is always the priority.

"The way you handled my baby, spoke to them as an individual, your manner and advice - I can't speak highly enough of you."

Independent midwifery support with a difference

Generic advice and google tips won't work to ease your mind and empower you to take an active role in your care choices, because your pregnancy is unique to you.

If NHS maternity care is free at the point of access and Google is easily accessible, the concept of hiring an independent midwife for additional advice and support might seem like a strange thing to do - I get it.

So here's all I'm going to ask you to do:

Dig deep, look inside and think about what matters to you.

Does the thought of not being able to get hold of your midwife if you have questions make you feel anxious? Or feeling pressured into making decisions you don't fully understand the implications of?

Do you value authentic connection and want to feel in control of your birth experience?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, then my services are for you.

Whether it's focused sessions for education and advice (from the start of pregnancy all the way through to 28 days postnatally) or ongoing support with my Bump, Birth & Beyond plan, I will be there to help you every step of the way.

Bump, Birth & Beyond

The Bump, Birth & Beyond plan is a bespoke, virtual subscription service that runs alongside your existing maternity care and grants you access to me 7 days per week for any question, at any time.

You'll be provided with the most up-to-date, evidence-based advice that is completely personalised to you in a way that helps you to fully understand your options and enables you to make decisions that feel right for you.

You'll also benefit from a level of continuity that you may not be able to receive from your existing care provider - something that not only offers a more positive and personal experience, but has been proven to improve outcomes and safety for women, birthing people and their babies (NHS England, 2020).
